We have offices that are open and can be noisy, disruptive, and full of people. Once developed to promote open communication and rebel against the drudgery of depressing cubicles, there has recently been just as much backlash against open offices.
But with ample ingenuity to encourage both interaction and privacy in an open office plan, we can find the best of both worlds. We studied high and low to find seven of our favourite ideas for making the open office a little more effective.
