Healthy eating is vital for weight loss and an active lifestyle, and unfortunately many of the foods that are considered to be healthy are far away. Many foods deemed safe have high sodium or sugar levels, and even foods labeled "organic" or "low-fat" can be far from safe due to the ingredients used. Rather than consuming a packaged or liquid version of an item, consuming the actual item, such as eating a slice of fruit, is better than drinking fruit juice. Take time to read the food label and study before purchasing food to ensure the item is actually nutritious.
