Malaria kills hundreds of thousands of people each year, and infects hundreds of millions more. Nevertheless, the disease can be eliminated-it has been achieved in 62 countries since 1960. Why, instead, is a world standing in its way without malaria? The global elimination of malaria is an attainable goal, but there is still a long way to go. They'll save millions of lives through smart resource distribution, resistance circumvention, and forward thinking.
