SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, was first identified as the culprit behind a breathing disease outbreak in Wuhan , China, in late 2019. Symptoms include coughing, nausea, exhaustion and shortness of breath, which happens at any time between two and 14 days after exposure.
